Default guest network not secure

I want to install a netgear wndr3700 within the restaurant of a friend who wants his guests to have free internet access. I thought the wndr3700 would do the job.

For easy installation I thought to install the router on the operational lan which is also a simple soho with a standard adressrange within the 192.168.0.x range.

i tuned the netgear to a network range of 192.168.10.x Everything working fine...but. Next I found that knowing the addresses within the 192.168.0.x range, the systems within that range are still accessible. I hoped the netgear would be able to exclude the traffic to 192.168.0.x range, making it only possible to address to the internet gateway (the modem/router).

So the configuration is a netgear 3700 behind a regular cable modem router.
Having a second direct cable internet connection is possible but then i really have to go into the patching of the network and the outlets..which i hoped wouldn't be necessary .

If there ain't a solution, please netgear make it secure.

regards, netwiz

Default Re: guest network not secure

you miss the settings in the router setting.

there is option not to share with primary subnet for guest network. I don't have 3700 but there is way to block that..
