I upgraded a WN802Tv2 access point from 3.1.1 firmware to 3.1.3 firmware. This I have done in the past upgrading the same unit from previous revisions to version 3.1.1. After upgrading I reset the unit to factory defaults with the button on the back of the unit. I then connected to the unit with IE8, address 192.168.0.233, this gives the screen with the logon box, put in the default username of admin and password of password. This gives an invalid username/password error. I reset the unit twice again and tried logging on again - no different. Tried the old password - no different. Contacted Netgear support, their solution is to exchange the unit - after a 30min phone call. I think, bottom line, the default username and/or password has been changed for this firmware build. Anybody else tried the upgrade.......

Hi,
don't upgrade to this version. They are going to pull it from the website. It's faulty. Cheers. |

I'm glad I'm not alone. Not so much a firmware release but an escapee.
Will there be a work round to update the access points that are now crippled????? I have got a RMA for the access point that is un-usable but I would sooner just re-install the previous firmware and get it back working to save the grief of sending the unit back for replacement. |

Oh NO! I've got this issue on my WN802T-200. This is supporting an office of 10 users as their primary network access. How can I fix? I don't want to return. I can't take it out of service.
Thanks. :O: wd |

Hi all,
I would just like to confirm that I have also experienced the same problem. The firmware version works fine on the other AP's that I upgraded at the same time. I assume that there must be some way of breaking into the thing - I remember that the DG834 series ran an ftp server for the first few seconds during bootup (i think)...other than that I will get an RMA swap. Sounds like you need to call support and get replaced
