Hi.
Why has the error come back, when searching for an update with the Storage Central Manager Utility, Operation Timed Out? (SC101) Nothing has changed on my system. One day it worked and the next, all these errors. Thanks for any info |

Yes but this problem seemed to be there before (maybe)

Try again on another day - you're checking for an update on a server at Netgear, and you're doing it across the internet - even if nothing on your system changed, conditions on the internet change, traffic loads on Netgears servers change.

Been doing this for 3 weeks now. Is the NG server serving or down for this function?

What does a ping or tracert to downloads.netgear.com yeild for you? Is this setup on a corporate router where they may be blocking port 21 for FTP? Any changes made to your home network that may prevent port 21 from being accessed? Are you running windows XP's Firewall, or any other firewall software that may inadvertently be blocking port 21 to downloads.netgear.com? Can you access downloads.netgear.com using an anonymous login with your favorite FTP software? |

This is the same issue I have at home.
I have the problem on my workstation and laptop since I installed IE7. If I remove IE7 it is ok again. It works every time from my server which has IE6 installed. |
