Default utorrent showing ports closed

i am using DG834N which i bought a couple of weeks ago, before that i used a DG834GT for 18 months without any problems whatsoever on utorrent , tick always showd in client and always showed ports open in the speedguide test, since i set up the 834N i am getting the tick in utorrent but speedguide test always shows that my ports are closed anyone got any ideas about this thanks ,,,simmo

when uPnP is enable that make outgoing traffic but it will not see as open ports.
do you have use port forwarding?

i have upnp enabled its set up exactly as my GT was but never had the ports closed problem with my GT but will give the disableupnp a try and forward prots thanks will get back let you know if it solves problem thanks ,,,simmo

hi have tried disabling upnp and using the portforward method but it still shows that ports are closed in utorrent speedguide, next sep i havent a clue as what to try next thanks anyway,,,simmo

the tick is showing in my utorrent client and i am showing as connectable on the sites i use for downloading from apart from the speedguide showing ports closed error message everthing else seems fine,i have followed portforward instructions to a T but still no joy

if app is working then I would not worried about it. you can try disable SPI in the router settings if that helps but seems in stealth mode so port scan is not effective to external source but it is accepting the inbound rules

Don't forget to check the settings of any software firewalls on the PC.

hi mars mug all firewall settings been checked and are a s should be its a mystery to me ,,i thought it was a faulty router but everything looks ok all lights are on downloads ok @2.5 meg uploads ok its just that speedguide that shows ports closed ?
