Default How to set up WNR3500-100NAR wireless USB adapters ?

Have a home network with a WNR3500v1 wireless router serving two different laptops (also 2 hardwaired PC's) via wireless connections. Everything running smooth now.

Question is...if I install/add WNR3500-100NAR usb adapters to each laptop...do I need to do anything 1st ?

Both laptops have built in Wireless adapters and run a max of 54mbs now. Do I just plug in my new usb Netgear adpaters...or should I disable the laptops on-board wireless adapters first ?

Each laptop also has a wireless on/off switch on the side of the unit ?

Thanks for any help on this...

3500 is router so that is not correct model for wireless adapter but you need to disable builtin adapter if you are not planning to use it

Also you do not want to run both wireless adapter at same time

Thanks Jim...the 3500 is from the wrong box(router)...but the side of the usb unit DOES say WNDA3100 and the box says WNDA3100-100NAR...oops

Basically then...just disable the laptops wireless adapter...and then plug in the WNDA3100...

No software/drivers etc...neccessary ?

WNDA3100 is more like it

you will need to install the driver/app for the WNDA3100 but I would advise to disable built-in wireless when you are using WNDA3100
