I have a WGR614v8 router and when I tell the router to search for new firmware updates it says " trying to conecxt to netgear server and comes back saying I have no internet connection. Problem is that I do have a connection and I can surf with no problem. Do I have a virus problem or is it a firmware issue?

I checked the download tab
I've got the latest update. when I click check for new version from internet... it says no internet found and takes me back to my router upgrade screen Is this a known issue or is it a virus hack that no one reported yet it used to tell me that my firmware is up to date. reply if you have a solution... |

Try to manualy upgrade the firmware of your device by downloading the firmware software on KB website

All I asked about was if anyone had this issue of the router not being able to to find the internet on it's own. I get generic replies...."read the manual....update manually". Thank you Captain Obvious.

The 'update from internet' option is dependant on the file existing in a particular location on the Netgear servers, it may not be there but may be available for download.
