Default DG834N RangeMax No longer connects

Router: DG834N RangeMax
Wireless adapter: WN311B
(Bundle)

Rebate needed.

I purchased the above product with the WN311B adapter, back in November. It was working fineÖ.

The Wireless PC was turned off for a period of a week, and since being turned on once more, it cannot make any connections.

Fault description:

The network is visible but no connections may be made to it. Originally the network was scanned every time a scan was completed and connected without fail. Now it detects the network only sometimes, and fails to connect at all, even unsecured.

Actions already taken:

I have removed all security firewall software from the wireless PC.
I have updated the drivers for the WN311B adapter.
I have changed the channel on the router (was set to auto), and have since worked through all channels.
Disabled all security on the router to make the network unsecured.
Reverted the router to the factory settings (depressing the reset button), ensuring the SSID was a custom name.
Installed the adapter on a different PC Ė same problem.
Moved Wireless PC and router into the same room; still it fails to detect the network on some scans, and no connections of any kind.
Re-seated the adapter into differed slots, on both the original PC, and the one in the same room as the router.
Reinstalled windows.

None of the above worked, and Iím running out of things I can think of it might be.
Whatís more Iím not certain is itís the adapter or the router that is at fault.
The wired ports still provide a connection, so itís just the wireless part thatís failed.

No damage has been done to either device, which is why Iím at a loss. If a change had been made at least that would make some sense, but no changes have been made (the wireless PC was off, and no reason to make them Ė it was working previously after all).

Help please! Where do I go from here? Have I been the victim of a dry joint perhaps? (The pc is typically used for an hour a day before being tuned off) Other than that Iím all out of ideas.

when you update our drivers for your wireless adapter, did you update your router ?.

look at my site "router reset".. Option 1, 3 and 4 is important as part of steps

Nope. The router was working as provided. Only AFTER it failed were any updates performed, not that I expected them to work by that point.

Thanks, success!

Tried the firmware update and it does seem to have gotten the router working again, as it did when first bought.

Thanks for the Help.
