Default Atheros AR5B95 and WNDR3300

NetGear phone support tells me that I need to upgrade my adapter in order to use the 11N channel of the router. I thought that this adapter was a b/g/n. Can anyone confirm that this adapter doesn't support n? I can only connect via the g channel. Doesn't seem right...

802.11N can operate on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, the AR5B95 device you have may be 2.4GHz only and not Dual Band 2.4GHz and 5GHz. If you set the router to 270Mbps on the 2.4GHz band then the adaptor may well connect at 802.11N rates.
