Now level 3 support have waited 4 days to ask tech level 2 telling me they again need a dbglog file, and also again need steps to reproduce the errors.
I AM FED UP of this now. But i can understand they won't be able to diag remotely, so i made up a fresh virtual machine that lies behind one of my FVS318G that do corrupt downloads. They now have a full admin RDP access to this VM, and can do whatever tests they want. Hopefully i'll get an answer....someday... |

New day, some news...
A level 3 tech from Netgear phoned me today about the horrible FVS318G experience i have to get through. As we spoke, he said he'd do some other tests on the VM i set up for netgear. Also, i might set up a machine with wireshark for them to see what happens. He's supposed to mail me back this afternoon... I'm impatient to know what's going to happen. |

Hey, some update, it's been about 40 days since i first contacted Netgear Support.
L3 support staff provided me with a beta firmware today, namely 3.0.7-95. I am making further tests, but it seems this resolves my corrupt download problems. I will report back this week. |

And hey... the new firmware seems to speed up things a little (making multiple before after tests, i had an average 15-20% better performance).

And finally things are okay now. My 4x FVS318G (plus 1 spare) work correctly now, no outages, correct download sums, VPN tunnelling okay.
New firmware release 3.0.7-95 i got from Netgear on 18 Jun seems to do its job. Perhaps you may contact support and ask for this FW if it takes some time to a release. Cheers. |

Thanks very much techozy, I appreciate you taking the trouble to keep us all up to date with this saga. I think I will wait until they post the update though, mine is way out of date but working at the moment.

NETGEAR's support has no helped, than any other knowledge to the multi-week effort. Most classical Women leather bags at CWMALLS are pretty good, fashion Leather shoulder bags looks really charming!

Anyone know when Netgear will finally release this beta firmware, I have been fighting this problem for the last year with little help for tech support.

I'm not really sure they will... (maybe this is too much beta to make it to a final release)...
Anyway, you can ask tech service and they should provide it to you (so said the tech level 3 i spoke with). Cheers. |
