Hello all
I have a directory of 23 Photoshop User TV Podcasts. When I view these on the EVA9150 in 'Folder View' they are all jumbled up, i.e. not in Episode order. The Episodes are named 'Episode 225' to 'Episode 247'. Any suggestions how I can get these to show up in Order? Thanks in advance Kevin |

Hello Ron7
Thanks for the reply. All the episodes are named 'Episode <number>' so no difference in the Filenames, or Extension (all .mp4). When I view by Folder, Newest Videos all the videos are in order with the newest one at the top, however, when I view 'All Videos' they are all jumbled with no apparent order. Do you happen to know if the EVA9150 uses any of the Tags when showing 'All Videos' as opposed to the Filename? Thanks in advance Kevin |

Do they by chance have any internal tag information embedded in them?

Assuming your podcasts don't have TAG files associated with them (ie exactly the same name but TAG as the extension), then Muzicman61 may have nailed it. ID3 frames can certainly be embedded in an mp3 file (I do this with audiobooks for the cover display). I'm not sure about mp4, but it seems likely. If you'd like to forward me a couple of them that do not collate correctly (or put them someplace I can download), I have utilities (id3info and others on Linux) that can quickly answer the question--and strip the tags. If they do have embedded ID3 frames, it would be instructive (to me at least) to find out what happens when a separate TAG file is present--which takes precedence?

Hello all
Thanks for the replies. The Podcasts were indeed downloaded from the iTunes Store using iTunes 10. Below is the General MediaInfo from three files that show out of order. That said, there is no obvious reason (short of invisible unprintable characters) that why the files should not collate as expected. What does your EVA show when you highlight one of these podcasts? Does the title on screen resemble any of the values for "Complete name" or "Movie name"? Do you get a description? I'm guessing not? So 2 things you could try. Go to kelbytv.com and download one of the offending episodes, rename it like the others and temporarily replace the existing one with it to see if it moves in the display order. Second, don't do that. Instead create a separate ID3 TAG file for one of the offenders and hope it overrides the embedded tag data (which seems reasonable). TagEdit can do this quickly and easily. Do a File|New to start a new tag, cut and paste description etc from your dump, then File|Save As.. (browse to the target directory, click on the mp4 file, and change the extension--faster then typing the name in again). Tagedit is available from http://itee.uq.edu.au/~chernich/tagedit.html The job can be done with the Netgear tool too, but it's messy, which is why TagEdit exists.

Kevin, sorry I should have been more explicit: if you try either of the experiments I mentioned, you'll have to do a Full Scan to see the effect, if any.
Tedious I know, but how long since you've done one? It may even fix the problem...
