Default Wireless connection sutck on "Acquiring Network Address"

Hi

Router/modem is DG834PN, to which is connected my desktop via ethernet cable.
LAN connection ok.
Laptop with netgear stick connected via wireless link as well - no problem.

However I have another Dell pc from work which is not connecting with status stuck on "Acquiring Netwrok Address" - IP address etc all zero etc.

Have done a few checks - WPA key is correct, DHCP enabled etc... Resetting the router has not resolved the problem either. Neither has my attempt to manually assign IP address etc for the latop to connect (although status changed to Connected, connection to the internet was NOT successful plus router did not pick up the latop as an assigned device).

Wireless connection with this latop is managed by Win XP zero configuration
The Dell adapter card software is disabled by my work IT team, so one cannot expect interference from the 2 wireless software.
This is weird indeed.

Any suggestions / advice appreciated, thanks!

Hi June - Thanks for the suggestion.
What do you mean by speed option?
