Thumbs down N300 router problems...

Got myself a Netgear N300 wifi router today. Setting it up was all dead easy, but nothing can connect via WiFi. My laptop and Xbox360 can both "see" the signal with the network name on it just fine, but when I try to connect using them, it pretty quickly decides they're not gonna be allowed to connect. I took all the security settings off so it's now an unsecured network, but it still just does the exact same thing.

The contract I have with my ISP is for a non-wifi connection, but is there any way they could enforce that even through a new router (which couldn't have been easier to make connect with this PC I'm typing this on TBH)?

Ah, think I may have posted this in the wrong section...it is DGN2200, I just found this section through me searching the term N300, so seemed appropriate to create the topic here. It is connected to a phone line rather than a cable connection, if that makes any difference...

How do I do that, just select the "Up to 54Mbps" option from the drop-down menu where the other options are 145Mbps and 300Mbps? If so, yeah, it's on the 54Mbps setting just now, still not working.

Can you check if the MAC filtering (or access control) is enabled? If still not working, do a factory reset and try again.

Took it back to the shop and they changed it for a Belkin one. At first, I was quite infuriated since I've had awkwardness from Belking products before, but TBH it was up and running, wifi included, within about ten minutes of this PC on. So topic can be closed now...

Default N300 router problems (WNDR3400)

I too just picked up the N300 dual-band and both my Mac and iPhone can see the router but when I enter the passphrase or the 26 character Hex I get an error stating that I am unable to connect to the network.

I removed the security and still am unable to connect to the network. I used to LOVE Netgear for its ease of use but am at the point to just return the unit.

Help Please!!

Im assuming you're using WEP? Can you try WPA or WPA+WPA2?
