Default WGR614v6 and MacBook Pro

3 Days of troubleshooting, reconfiguring, changing encryption keys, unplugging, plugging, reading thread after thread, and countless hours of tech support from Apple and Comcast. This will be my last desperate attempt before throwing my loyal and reliable Netgear Router at the wall.

I have 3 PC's that connect just fine, but I am now consolidating and switching to a Mac.
My Mac recognizes my network, I've entered the correct password, it allows me to open a web page but then immediately drops. I can get onto every other wireless other than mine at home.

- I have changed my security from WEP to WPA
- tried switching from DHCP to DHCP and Manual, and Manually
(didn't work)
- tried changing from g and b to just g
(didn't work)

I am not a techy by any means, just tried to follow directions from previous threads and a lot of prayer.

Thank you for your help

use WPA

you do not have to use "DHCP with manual address" but try by adding public DNS on mac side

4.2.2.1

that is , you are able to connect the wireless to the router

okay
using WPA
using DHCP
RE: DNS, assuming I add 4.2.2.1 under DNS in Network Preferences, correct?
after entering, I clicked Apply and waited.
Do I need to unplug router and plug back in?
