Exclamation 5Ghz wireless networks not showing. WNDR3700v2

I have used 2.4 Ghz networks for about 6 months with no problem. I am running firmware 1.0.0.12 on my WNDR3700v2

Recently my neighbors have added a bunch of new routers and there are a lot of wireless networks now. I want to switch to 5Ghz to see if my speeds improve.

I went into advanced wireless settings and enabled the 5Ghz radio. I went into basic wireless settings and enabled SSID broadcast. I have the 5Ghz network set to WPA2-PSK (AES). I have it set to channel 36

I gave my 5Ghz network a unique ssid name for test purposes and called it seven.

I cannot see this wireless network.

I have tried:

Disabling the 2.4 Ghz network
Disabling the primary wireless network and setting it up on Guest network
Changing the channel to 44
Using 3 different wireless enabled computers running WinXP, Windows 7 and Windows 8

This is a link to a picture of my Advanced Wireless Settings(with both 2.4 and 5.0 radios enabled)

Am I missing something that jumps out to anybody?
Any ideas

You haven't given any details on the wireless radio capabilities of the 3 different computers you tried, but is it possible that they do not have dual-band radios that support the 5GHz frequency?

Check the specs of the wireless cards in your computers and see if they can use 5 GHz.

I assume that the increase in wifi networks in your neighborhood is causing degradation issues for you and that's why you want to switch? Just be sure to read up on the pros and cons of both 2.4 & 5 GHz so you know what they are and won't be surprised or disappointed there too.

Yes, that's it. None of my wireless cards are 5Ghz.

Thanks for the fast replies.
