Default EVA8000 and DVICO TV Tuner Cards

I'm looking to purchase the EVA8000 as soon as it is released in Ausralia. I have a DVICO FusionHDTV DVB-T Dual Digital TV Tuner card. I'm trying to work out whether the EVA8000 will support this card.

I checked the online Users Manual for the EVA8000 ( ftp://downloads.netgear.com/files/EV...UM_29Jan07.pdf (pg 90) ) and it doesn't look like your tuner is currently on the supported list.

Yes, I found that list as well. The manual also says to check the netgear website for an updated list, but I couldn't find a list anywhere on the site. Given it's been a couple of months since the manual was released, I'm hoping the list has expanded. There are a number of well known TV Tuner brands not on the list, such as DVICO or Pinnacle, so I assume there will be an ongoing testing process to release support for more cards. If there is, this will be a top seller!

The list in the manual is the currently supported list of TV tuner cards for the EVA8000. There will be additional cards added over time, with the priority given to the most popular cards first. So if you have a specific card you'd like to see on the list definitely let us know.

Smile Re: EVA8000 and DVICO TV Tuner Cards

So my card is a DVICO FusionHDTV DVB-T Dual Digital.

The web site is http://www.fusionhdtv.co.kr/ENG/Prod...alDigital.aspx.

I suppose what I'd like to know is whether it will be supported in the future.
I don't mind buying the EVA8000 if I know it will work with my card some time in the next 3-6 months. I wouldn't like to buy the EVA8000, then find out my card is not going to be supported, or won't be for a couple of years.

Why won't all cards supported by Windows Media Center work?

And would it be too much to ask for support of another HTPC frontend, specifically Mediaportal that is free of charge?
Mediaportal has two solutions for watching TV, one built in and one powerful addon working towards a TV server.

Can user's add their own plugins to EVA 8000?

I read some more in the manual now.

Is the protocol to the TV application open so for example Mediaportal could add support?

Any further update on this. All I'd like to know is if there is a timeframe for when the DVICO FusionHDTV DVB-T Dual Digital TV Tuner will be supported?
