Default Using a second wireless router to extend range?

I have two Netgear wireless routers (WGR614 v7 and WGR613VAL) and would like to know if it is possible to use one of the routers to connect to the Internet and use the other router closer to my devices and have the two work together wirelessly.

I'm trying to use the remote router to help my PC and XBox 360 get better conenctions to the Internet (the PC is using a Netgear WG111v2 USB adapter and constantly drops the connection to the router). I would like to wire the PC to the remote router directly and use the router to connect to the router that hooks up to the Internet.

Is this possible?

Bummer, I was hoping that with the two routers I could get some better range.

Thanks for the reply.

Hi

I have a netgear WGR614v7, does anyone know if this can be used as the primary router on a network that has a secondary router that is connected wirelessly and Supports WDS wireless network extension

I saw from the web it wouldn't work as a secondary router

But your saying even as a primary router it will not work?

No. V7 will NOT support WDS so will NOT work ANY router that supports WDS

Both MUST support WDS for wirelessly connect two or Use an acces posing only per URL already posted
