Default FVS338 – Bandwidth Profile and QoS for Cisco Umi

I want to set up a bandwidth profile on an FVS338 for a Cisco Umi telepresence unit. I am having a hard time understanding the Netgear bandwidth profiles.

I want to guarantee the Umi 2mbps bandwidth for both inbound and outbound and give QoS to outbound ports used by Umi. Umi requires a steady 1.5mbps to achieve 720p resolution.

Under Outbound Services I have set up priority “Minimize Delay” for the 4 Services Umi uses – STAN, RTP, SIP:TCP and SIP:UDP. I have created a Bandwidth Profile for both Inbound and Outbound traffic and assigned it to each Outbound service.

For Inbound Services, I have created the same Services and assigned them to the same Bandwidth Profile that provides UMI with a min/max bandwidth of 1500Kbps.

Do I have this set up right. The resolution on the UMI is still dropping to 720p resolution indicating to me my bandwidth profiles may not be set up right.

If "cisco umi" is your bandwidth profile name you created with correct #Mbp/Kbps value, it should work.
