Default FVS318 WAN Speed

I have seen this topic discussed to death and I am just confused.

I have a new but old FVS318. The SN is FVS823AAD136459. I assume it is a V1. I'm running firmware 2.4. The disk manual says that the WAN port is a 10/100, dated June 2003. Most things I have read on the Internet says that the WAN port will only do 10mbs. Mine is stuck at 10/half.

What is the true max speed of this router?

If I'm stuck at 10mbs that is OK. I paid $20 for an 8 port switch which is still a bargain. Thanks.

Thanks but that shows a V3. Mine is a V1, I think. My manual says the WAN will do 10/100. Can you explain?

But my DL throughput is only about 1mbs. The port is only running at 10/half.

Then I guess I have a great 8 port switch to use with my consumer grade Belkin Router that runs the WAN at 100mbs. Thanks.

just because 100Mbps on WAN mean it will run on 100Mbps

WAN throughtput is not same as what is the ports will connect

look at FVS336G, FVS318G, FVX538 ALL has 100mbps yet WAN throughput is DIFFERNENT

look netgear.com and products model and spec. you will learn some

I get 4.5 Mbs on my LAN side. How can I get the other 5.5 Mbs that this box is stealing from me? What a waste of money!
