Default Wireless Router and Hughes Net

I'm new and not sure where it goes

I just got hughes net and have it hooked up to the Netgear N300 Wireless Router(wnr2000) and my desktop runs fine the way it is hooked up but my Laptop(compaq presario notebook) doesn't connect to the web. The laptop finds and recives the wireless signal but won't connect. I try'd all the trouble shooting info i have and read something about an adapter? I need one or is there something else needed to be done. Any help would be greatful. if you need any more info let me know. PS i need my laptop for school.

Default Re: Wireless Router and Hughes Net

which hughes model?

download hughes manual .

you should able to setup netgear as an access point

or other I seen on 9000 unit is that if you want to use netgear router as main router, you can get additional public IP from from your ISP and setup correctly in the hughes.

I would consult your ISP on which is best way for the model you are using.
