do you have a 3700v1 or 3700v2? Either one, upgrading to the latest firmware (7.98 for v1 or 1.0.0.8 for v2) should solve your problem. This was a known issue in the firmware prior to the current ones.

Yea, same thing with my samsung. Occurred just after touter upgrade. I see other replies to your message just blamed the customer (typical computer geek response). After I rolled the router back to its previous firmware version, the blueray player hooked up to the internet. This is Netgear's fault. They have no plans for a solution.

I have a Samsung BD-C6500, and there was a problem with DHCP and blu-ray players (static IP worked fine). Everything was fine with .68 and .75, but was broke with the 1.0.6.98 firmware. They have since fixed it with the latest 1.0.7.98 release. Works just fine now and is called out in the release notes as being fixed.

I just bought a Samsung TV and it is working great. Then a new WNDR3700v2 router that connected seamlessly with my networked devices. I then bought a Samsung Bluray 6500, thinking it would be great to use one remote. We could not get it to connect, either wired or wireless. Samsung was no help, even the second tier of their techs. They decided it was defective so I sent it back for a replacement. Now the replacement will not connect, either. We have tried resetting everything and checked all the settings, but continue to get the message that it can't connect. The place I bought it wants me to go through Samsung one more time and then we will decide what to do. I would appreciate any advice you can give me! Maybe I have a router setting wrong?

You could try updating your router's firmware (see HERE) and then set a static IP address for the Bluray player.
