I just upgraded my unit to V1.0.0.36_7.0.36.
The language pack is also upgraded. NOTE: This was only available by using the routers built-in upgrade checker - it is not available for download from the netgear site at this time. My router hung during the upgrade - i waited five minutes, rebooted, reset to default then reloaded a saved config file - all is well. Not sure of any changelog but the router seems to respond quicker. However, I was given a beta version by level 2 tech to try some weeks ago to cure a usb cxn problem. |

I wonder why it is not available from the netgera site.

Probably because its only just been put on their servers and they havent had chance to update the website yet.

It's more than one week that the "new" FW is available if you update from the router, but there is no official info on the changes! |

DON'T UPDATE!
I had huge problems. I updated and lost Internet connectivity. I'll explain, The router connects, it says its connected, it even tests and pings, and all it does with the net and all works but NO connected devices connected to the net. The iPhone, iPad both through wireless no longer had Internet access. The PC through LAN no longer had Internet access but all could access the router and the router has internet access. Luckily it lets you downgrade. Download the firmware from the Netgear site just in case you want to upgrade and try it out. If you lose internet access just downgrade and it comes back straight away. I would expect Netgear to not release such buggy firmware updates. Oh, a new feature of the latest firmware is the VPN down the bottom. reboot, then scroll down and there are now 3 options. I couldn't get it to work, probably coz I lost all internet access but it did hear the iPad trying to connect to the VPN but couldn't connect to it. |

Did you reset to default after the upgrade then reload your config file? No? diddnt think so - thats why it doesnt work in your case.

I just tried again and still no internet access from any connected devices but the router itself has internet access as all tests work This firmware refuses any internet access for me from any devices. Wired or wireless all devices cant connect to the internet but they can all talk to each other and the router can connect to the net. anyone got any ideas or will I just have to wait till the next firmware update? |

I found my problem. It changed all the forwards to blocks and changed all the ports.
when I deleted them all I finally have internet access again. still, i have to manually do all my forwards again.

Another reason to downgrade AGAIN. How about stop copying $ony and stop removing features from the next firmware that are actually useful and people use? |
