WNDAP350 Problem with Intel Centrino 6300

i just bought a new laptop that has Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 AGN wireless card.

it connects fine to my iPhone wireless access point, but it wont connect to my WNDAP350 no matter what i do. i even configured it to 'open' for no security, but that wouldnt work either (and eliminated any potential password issue).

the iPhone connects fine to the WNDAP350, as do a few other things around the home.

so it isnt a matter of just the WNDAP350 is dead/misconfigured/etc. but it is likely there is some incompatibility or setting that needs to be changed on either the WNDAP350 or my laptop.

i am running firmware WNDAP350_V2.0.9

any ideas?
