Default WNDR3400 Wireless Printing??

I am a complete amatuer. I purchased N600 WNDR3400 and noticed it has a check mark for "Wirless Printing," but I cannot find any documentation on how to set that up. It does not appear that a printer can be plugged into the USB port on the router, so I am lost. Any help would be appreciated.

I think indication is just tell EU that you can print wirelessly in general for marketing but router does not support printer or include printer server. Just USB HD only

First of all, if you connect any wire (whether USB or Ethernet) between your printer and router, that would be a WIRED connection. This is as opposed to when you use NO WIRES, then your printer will be connected WIRELESSLY.

You should first set-up your network by connecting the N600 to your modem. I would advise that you register the N600 and download and READ BOTH the Set-up and User Manuals. Once you have set-up your network - SSIDs, passwords, security, etc., you can the proceed to connect your printer.

If you want to connect your printer WIRELESSLY to your network, first-off your printer MUST be capable of such. The printer's Manual(s) [you may need to download these too] is where you will find the info on how to connect wirelessly to your network. Follow the instructions closely and you should have no trouble.

Lastly, when you set-up & connect your printer to your network for the first time, you almost invariably have to connect your PC to your printer with a USB cable. Most of the time it's a USB cable with an "A" type male connector at one end and a "B" type male connector at the other end. Most times too, printer manufacturers do not supply this with the printer and you may need to buy it separatley. Once you have connected your printer to your network, disconnect the USB cable and check your wireless connection by printing something.

Good luck!

User seems to have USB printer hoping to use router has printer server based on marketing chart which mean likely printer is not network ready so OP needs printer server or buy printer which is network ready printer to replace it

Hello,
I've just set up the WNDR 3400 router and the internet connection is working great, but when I tried to use a hp usb hub (with a printer and 3 external hd attached to it) to the routers usb port, I can't see any of these devices. Any help will be appreciated. Thank you for your time.

You can not hook up USB printer to a router .

Use single USB HD and test it out

Thank you so much. I've tried a single hd and it worked great, but when I tried 4 external hd with the usb hub (no printer attached to the hub this time), again it doesn't work. So I was just wondering if there is any way to use that router usb port to connect multiple hd's. Thank you.
