Your router should handle 20x the speed you have, so it is not that. I believe v2 routers no loger have NA/World Editions. Your area/tx power regulation is tattooed in another area of the flash which distinguishes your region.
The v2 aren't particularly good routers it seems... You should return it or demand Netgear swap it for a wndr4000 or a v1. |

Seems I have the same type issues. I installed my 3700V2 Feb 2011. Loaded 1.0.0.8. Router was just great, best download speeds i have ever seen.
Then last week, my wireless would disappear after 8-10 hrs. Pushing the wireless on/off front button would restore my wireless. Pretty consistent now, every morning the wireless is gone.I sent my issue to customer.service@netgear.com, and requested they replace it with the newer WNDR4000. I will post their response. Vanteer |

Since installing V1.0.0.10 on my 3700V2, my Blackberry TMobile UMA has been more unreliable than ever. Worked fairly well with 1.0.0.8 but continuously disconnects with 1.0.0.10.
I have experienced this with both a BB9700 and 9780. Again, these Berry's did not disconnect from UMA when running 1.0.0.8. Otherwise laptops have no problem. Seems Netgear did something in this firmware to upset UMA. Thanks Netgear! |

Got a new WNDR3700v2 (to replace an old WGR614) two days ago with firmware V1.0.0.6. Installed ok. Started by updating to V1.0.0.8 and then lost Internet access. Several resets and reconfig did not help. Yesterday I found V1.0.0.10 and downloaded (using the old router). Upgrade, resets and reconfig again. Same problem - no DNS. By comparing the basic setting pages of the WGR614 and the WNDR3700 I found that the WNDR3700 did not pick up the gateway address from the ISP modem. So I changed to 'Use static IP' and entered the modem IP as gateway. Problem solved! Works perfect now with wired computers, wireless laptop and wireless internetradio.

Sorry for the bad use of quote above, accidentally deleted the last quote flag before posting from work.
The first part is a correct quote by master shake, the middle part is actually a response by mastershake to rbej saying he and other beta testers pushed Netgear to at least release the fix for 2.4 wireless dropouts pending the full release of the new driver. The last line is my comment on having to wait this long for the rest. The last update for v2 was on June 19. I'll try to do better next post. (And why can't we edit a post?)
