Installed the WNDRMAC router into our little home network Friday (7/8/11), and have already lost connection to the cable modem three times. The "internet connect" light on the router is yellow, vice green, and all wireless connections to the router appear to be dropped. (It does not matter which wireless mode you are connected to.) Looking at the setup via the router's wireless connection stats, they show the individual computers, but the computers themselves do not appear to "see" the router.
Any suggestions as to what might be causing this? We had an old LINKSYS modem which was not really doing too bad. Never had any of the connections drop off with the cable modem. Thought it was time to upgrade and got the WNDRMAC (tired of waiting for the 3800) specifically because it allows for attaching a printer to the network via the routers USB (this works just fine btw). But if the net keeps dropping off, may have to return the router, and research which modem out there meets our needs without the hassle of having to constantly re-boot the cable modem so the router is able to see it again. (The cable modem is a Motorola from COMCAST) |

In the past some motororla cable modem was causing issues.
Some of wndrxxx had firmware fixed later days... I would contact support at my.Netgear.con and make sure to give exacted model of motorola and see,
