Default an undead schedule has been deleted: 'pk_recvupdate'

I have a network of DGFV338s they were all working but some are not used very often. The problem is that the connection is established but I cannot ping connected devices.

At my end I restored settings from a backup, but cannot do this at the other end.

If I ping a device the log from the remote end gives this:

2011 Sep 21 14:32:39 [DGFV338] [IKE] an undead schedule has been deleted: 'pk_recvupdate'._
2011 Sep 21 14:32:39 [DGFV338] [IKE] Purged IPsec-SA with proto_id=ESP and spi=254826226(0xf3056f2)._
2011 Sep 21 14:32:39 [DGFV338] [IKE] Purged IPsec-SA with proto_id=ESP and spi=71277279(0x43f9adf)._
2011 Sep 21 14:32:42 [DGFV338] [IKE] Configuration found for 8x.xxx.xxx.xx6._
2011 Sep 21 14:32:43 [DGFV338] [IKE] Initiating new phase 2 negotiation: 8x.xxx.xx.xx0[500]<=>8x.xxx.xxx.xx6[0]_
2011 Sep 21 14:32:44 [DGFV338] [IKE] IPsec-SA established: ESP/Tunnel 8x.xxx.xxx.xx6->8x.xxx.xxx.xx0 with spi=16243715(0xf7dc03)_
2011 Sep 21 14:32:44 [DGFV338] [IKE] IPsec-SA established: ESP/Tunnel 8x.xxx.xxx.xx0->8x.xxx.xxx.xx6 with spi=102275029(0x61897d5)_

If I ping a local device from the router at the remote end I get request timed out and nothing on the local log.

Any ideas?

Disable the VPN tunnels, wait 1 minute, and enable them again. Test.

All sites are static.

I am A and I can see and get data from B I can see C but no data
B can see and get data from both A & C.

So there is something corrupt in A or C's router. I have restored settings on the local (A) router, but would have to travel to C.

All units have Firmware Version: 3.0.5-24, and I have access to all via remote web interface.

Many thanks for your reply.

I would not restore the setting as *.cfg could be corrupted.

I would setup both manually on policy on A and B policy

I think this is fixed by a beta that Netgear support sent me, 3.0.5-28.4. Ask them nicely and they might send it to you too!

I was having my tunnels (among a set of 4 x FVS338 units) drop and reconnect continuously, reporting this same "undead schedule" error, until I did a factory reset and re-created all my tunnels by hand.

And then I saw that this is recommended procedure when doing firmware updates on these units.
