I just went and checked under Router Status again for my own setup just in case my eyes were playing tricks on me or I somehow missed it. I can confirm that there is no Default Gateway field there. This may be why the OP was having such difficulty locating it.
There is a soft button labelled Connection Status at the bottom of that screen, however clicking that brings up a pop-up window that has a Default Gateway field, but it's the ISP's released WAN IP! If the OP enters this IP on the TV it will not work. All of the above are the reasons why I said this... Quote:

Joe,
Thanks for your persistance. I check and you were correct 192.168.1.1, and used it for the gateway of the TV, and it worked, for about a minute. Netflix came up, was loading titles, and then said, no longer connected to the internet. Could've been a signal drop, but when i tried to reconnect, same messages as before. I checked settings, and they were as I had set them. Any thoughts? For subnet mask should I use what is under router status, internet port, or what the TV was auto-loading? |

there is no reason to check the gateway of 192.168.x.x since it will ALWAYS assign that to DHCP client anyway.
problem is the throughout the year, new player seems to have fritz about using DHCP client from the router. player should look like this in the network properties 192.168.1.x 255.255.255.0 GATEWY IP is your ISP gateway IP ISP DNS usually DHCP client or common static IP setup is like 192.168.1.x IP 255.255.255.0 subnet mask 192.168.1.1 gateway 192.168.1.1 dns

I've talked to Comcast, Samsung, and NEtgear. All think it is someone elses problem. I think I am excluding Comcast at this point, they have no firewalls and their tech support (paid for them to resolve problem, and then couldn't, soth ey gave me a refund) said they have no firewalls in their modem.
I still beleive this to be a Netgear compatability with Samsung (seen other similar cases on this board) and will have to go buy a Linksys to prove it I guess. If anyone has any other ideas I'd gladly accept. |

issue are not new at all so suggest tips I made has worked for few so should work but also check any firmware on Samsung side too. also you are only using wifi only. I would suggest to use ethernet cable to test the issues out. Sometime far the router will cause local only because of signal related issues.
