FWIW my Dad had a similar problem and with a bit of research I found the following:
http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.lin....general/82742 This suggests that it's a router bug meaning that if the wireless channel setting is set to Auto on a 802.11n capable router, it doesn't allow connections at 802.11g (54Mbps) speeds after a certain time. I gave my Dad the instructions to switch the wireless channel selection from its default of "Auto" to a fixed channel such as 6 and according to him since he did this its been running fine with no drop-out for 3 weeks now ![]() Note the end of above thread suggests that a bug report is to be raised to Netgear but I have no idea on what the status of this is - at least last time I checked a couple of weeks ago there were no new firmware updates available. |

Thanks! I had the exact same problem, and switching from "Auto" to a fixed channel seems to have solved the issue. To recap:
Again, thanks to user mcayland for pointing me in the right direction! -KS |

I had to reboot every couple of days but I went and blocked all other open wireless networks on my adapter. Haven't had to reboot for 2 weeks now.

I had to reboot daily and changed the mode to 54Mbps and haven't had to reboot since.
