Hi,

The default username is admin and password is password. If its still not letting you login to the page. You might have to set the product to Factory defaults.

likely that this very old unit router but

older router uses

user admin
pass 1234

doubtfully it is but if admin/password do not allow, reset is the only way

I am experiencing a similar problem. I logged into routerlogin.net. When prompted to check for updates, I clicked on the box. After taking this action, I could not log back into the router page by either typing routerlogin.net, routerlogin.com, or the router's IP address.

What happened when I clicked on the box to check for updates to my 2009 Netgear router WNR3500 and why is it that my computer cannot find routerlogin.net? I have wifi connection because I am able to use my gaming console (i.e., Xbox 360 Live).

Must I reset to factory default? If yes, then should I first write down the MAC addresses to the equipment/components that were on my list of devices approved for wireless connection through my router?

Also, which password should guests enter to gain wifi access - is it the passphrase, not the administrator's password, right?

Hi. Thanks for your reply.

What do you mean by "flashing firmware?" Can you send me instructions to do this or send me a link for firmware compatible with WNR3500?

When searching for latest version, I found this: wnr3500_1_1_15_1_0_14_na_only.chk but I could not open it

flahsing firmware.. upgrading firmware.. same thing.

flashing is actually the correct lingo..

go to support.netgeasr.com and look up your model. firmware is under download tab once you are in the product support page
