You know what's really sad?

Netgear got 90% of the way home and just gave up.

If they had the cajones to just finish the job they started they could own the streamer market! None of their competitors with full-menu Blu-ray ISO support is anywhere close to a reasonable price point.

Incredibly bad ending to a great storyline.

To me, the saddest thing is that the box is just a little over a year old and they discontinued it. I'm sorry but 2 years is the minimum accepted life of an average electronics equipment. After 2 years, most of the bugs would have been fixed by now.

I couldn't agree more. The Netgear 550 has played more of my BD ISO's with full menus than my PHC A-300.

All they have to do is make the interface a bit more stable; correct the movie thumb bugs and make it possible to split TV and Movies and it's a homerun.

Tragic!

February 33rd!

Two main issues for me, HDMI handshake and stuttering with 25 fps video. Otherwise its been a great box.
