Hello
I have an EVA 2000 connected via CAT 5 to Netgear router My PC is Windows 7 Ultimate I can see the EVA 2000 from the PC and have added access using Home Sharing, so all my media is available to the EVA 2000 When i boot up (PC and EVA 2000) i can browse files on the PC from the EVA 2000 I can also watch movies, look at photos or listen to sounds This is all good for anything between 3 and 7 minutes and then the EVA 2000 reports that the Network Cable Unplugged The result is that to establish the connection again i need to reboot the eva 2000 (power cycle) In the router config i can see the EVA 2000 as an attached device for the time that the connection is up Watching the router port lights, when the connection drops at the EVA 2000 the port on the router drops, that is , the light goes out on that port I have tried all 4 ports on the router with the same results I have also swapped the cables with the same results In windows i have disabled any power saving options for the OS and for the network card I have not been able to complete a software update through of the eva 2000 because the connection has not remained up long enough to finish off The closest i got was 6 of 6 packages, but then the message: Update Failed The current software versions i have are: Client: 4.8.0.4.2.3.9 Server: 4.3.3.6.2.3.1 Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated Best regards Patrick PS. I am able to connect an external HD via USB and can watch movies etc from it with no problems |

I have the same issue, I am watching streamed video from my network server and I intermittently get a red light on the front with a no media server available message to which I have to reconnect to the server and navigate to get the video I was watching! This has only started happening about a month ago.
The current software versions i have are: Client: 4.9.0.11.2.3.9 Server: 4.3.3.6.2.3.1 Is my box faulty?? Thx Si. |
