Default Re: Beta firmware V1.0.0.19_1.0.19_Test4 Issues(?)

Very pleased so far....
Am glad to report that .19 Test4 is working fine for me on all counts. My problem with resyncing in the evenings was an ISP issue (confirmed by them and my plan). The modem and router section has been flawless when operating all Mac/PC's NAS and DLNA product, both wired and wireless.
I hope that Netgear produce a confirmed firmware that fixes all the glitches that everyone has. Both 5 and 2.4 GHz work great and am not using the default router IP either. Hidden SSID and WPA2 PSK.......Even mobile phones can log in OK.

Let's hope that Netgear gets to sort out the issues many are having and that they release a non beta firmware (May have to stay with this Beta because it works!!!!).

Have they yet told you to experiment with v12 on the wireless issues. My problem led to security problems and phone support sent me there.

Just thought I'd pass the word to you for now if you haven't been permitted an rma for this issue.

Since I use the ftp feature with my external drive, this isn't such a good idea.

v12 allows you to see parts of the Router that you wouldn't want others to have access to.

That was the first time that I had lost the WiFi for a while.

However all hasn't been well for this firmware for me. The other day I reloaded the firmware as since I had connected the external drive the router's GUI was locked out to me after a few hours. This had continued, even though the drive had been removed and the router had rebooted.

Since then the router has been fine.

This makes me suspect that the firmware handling the memory has problems.

Hi - Does the 19_test4 version work for South Africa situations - since I am facing the red light issue and it is driving me absolutely mad. Duxbury told me to get the DGN 3500 router which is a major downgrade on features.

How do i get hold of the beta software - i need to download not from the router but via a web browser etc...

thanks in advance for the help.

The most recent firmwares have helped to reduce the red light problems.

Details on how to obtain the firmware are in the first post in this thread. Whilst it may be annoying to have to contact Netgear's tech support, this enables direct feedback to be monitored.

Would this work on an dgnd3700v2? I beta tested it, but when the test was over, i stopped, because it was having to many connection drops(even after I shipped the original one they gave me back, and they sent me a second unit), and also because I got a different router from netgear to test. I see the official release is now V 1.1.00.08_1.00.08 for dgnd3700v2 , and was wondering if there was beta firmware I could ask support for access to.

Since I haven't seen the DGND3700v2, let alone inside one, I wouldn't know.

I doubt that anyone on the forum could answer this in all honesty either.

Perhaps the people in Netgear support could answer it for you though.

I suspect then that you'll need to be passed up to the 2nd level of support.
