Default 3400v2 wpa2 disconnect

i've got devices working on the 5Ghz, but devices can connect on 2.4GHz only if i use WEP or unsecured vs WPA2 even though i know they can connect to networks using WPA2.

When originally setting up the router i had each of these devices (Laptop, BlackBerry and XBox) connected on 2.4, i then moved the BB and the Laptop to the 5GHz, leaving the XBox. Later that day i shut down the 3400 to move to permanent physical location, but when i brought back up i found the XBox could no longer connect. So i grabbed the laptop, dropped the 5GHz connection and found..... i could not connect to the 2.4GHz!

Since then i grabbed the wife's Nook and found it also cannot connect. during the troubleshooting i just found that if i change it to use unsecured or simple WEP all the devices connect just fine.

Any suggestions before i wipe the config and start over?
