I came from work today to my wired connections all dead. That covers my desktop, my MagicJack phone, and my DirecTV connections.
I tried unplugging the router for a minute then plugging it back in, that worked at first, then a little while later they were all dead again. The wireless is working fine, just the wired are dead. Router is about a year old, and it's running the most current firmware. I have noticed lately that it won't show me the attached devices, but that's the only thing weird lately until this. Any ideas on how to fix this, or is it toast and time for a replacement? Thanks, Steve |

I just did the hard reset with the reset button and unplugging it. Still no wired connections.
Need to get this fixed ASAP........no phone and no home email is going to be a problem. Steve |

Please define "Dead". When you have the problem, are the link lights on your PC's network card off? are the cable link lights on the router off? Can you ping 8.8.8.8? can you ping a local PC?

Lights are blinking orange on the router, no signal thru the wired connections.
Wireless is working fine. Found my receipt, July 2010 was when I bought the router..........so no warranty for me. Steve |

You may have burned up capacitor on PCB board of the router which causing the LAN ports failure

So does that mean I need to buy a new router, or is this one fixable?
It's out of warranty, but I hate to just throw it away since the wireless still works great. Steve |

If can solder it you may able to if it is blown capacitor but other than that you need to buy new router

Nope, Just checked and no warranty for me.
Would a blown capacitor be visible, or would it be a search? Steve |
