Hello,
Here is my network config using 4 Netgear XAV2001 Powerline Adapters: ISP Modem <-Ethernet Cable-> Linksys WRT160n Router <-Ethernet Cable-> XAV2001 (A) Then: XAV2001 (B) -> PC XAV2001 (C) -> PS3 XAV2001 (D) -> Printer Everything is working fine, all devices can connect to the Internet. Here is the problem, I am running a NDLA Server (Playstation Media Server) on the PC. When the PS3 is configured to use WiFi, everything runs fine. When switched to wired connection, connectivity to the NDLA server is lost. Over WiFi, I am 100% sure that the traffic goes through the Router. However, when wired, could it be possible that the PS3 tries to communicate directly to the PC without going through the router ? Are there any settings to avoid that ?? (See other thread on PMS forum : http://www.ps3mediaserver.org/forum/...hp?f=6&t=14241) Thanks in advance for the help |

Why would you want it to go through the router? Admittedly you have to when connecting through Wi-fi, but wired through powerplugs you want the ps3 to access the DLNA server directly. I wonder whether it's the data transfer rate between the PC and the PS3? What does the Netgear Utility say the transfer rate is between the two?
