Hey all,
Has anyone noticed the the Wireless Schedule does not work? I updated my 4500 yesterday to latest firmware and when i setup the schedule to switch of at midnight (both 2g & 5g) i was still able to connect via wifi at 12.30am. Is this a bug or is there something i have missed? Regards |

First check SECURITY > SCHEDULE. Make sure time zone is set correctly and confirm time at bottom of screen.
ADVANCED SETUP > WIRELESS SETTINGS. Set schedule here. Be sure to tick box to activate. Report back here. |

you can not go over 24hrs .....
12:30 is 00:30min in 24hrs format you have to change time zone first so that it is within 24hrs format

Do you own a WNDR4500 or are you giving a general reply?
The wireless scheduler is in am/pm. No 24 hour clock. |

you can not go PM to AM that goes over 24hrs format.
this is very common to all router and only few I see from home end router will not so 9PM to 12:30AM will fail to work should at least work at 10am to 11:59PM

for that reason I told you this
you have to change time zone first so that it is within 24hrs format You need to move time zone on router to shift the time. shift few hours back will trick your time to cut off the wireless when you want. Can not give you some FACT but here is for block schedule explain clearly Quote:

I hear you, however Netgear does not restrict scheduling to 12:01a - 11:59p on a per day basis.
If this is the case they should do the following: 1) Add notes to the HELP indicating what you described. 2) Not permit saving a schedule that will NOT work. 3) Create simple logic that does not permit the end time to go beyond the end of that day. Not terribly difficult! For example, if I set a schedule to turn off wifi "daily" from 11:30PM to 6:00AM, it should follow that schedule since the 4500 accepts and saves it. If what you say is true and it won't work, then the programmers should re-think their logic. I have worked with several AP's that have on/off schedules and most will not permit you to save a schedule that won't fly. Or at the very least they provide a written guide how to schedule. |
