Default copy to usb

Why is it so slow to copy from library to attached usb?

From web interface it's really slow and I must keep the browser open for hours.
From Win7 it needs to go via my machine bit by bit, it the drive doesn't support the copy command natively.

Does yours actually allow you to connect your computer directly do the stora via the USB and access the drives via USB? Mine doesnt detect the drives this way, I can only move files via Ethernet... Something like 10mb/s...

That's how it is.

Fastest way to achieve what you want is connect your stora to your PC via a wired LAN, and copy your files to your PC hard drive. If your PC hard drive has insufficient space, you will need an external USB drive plkugged into the PC to hold the data.

Once you have all your data copied off to another drive, you can copy files back to an upgraded Stora (max 2 X 2TB drives), or another NAS with larger capacity, by the reverse method.

it's a USB 1.1 on the front that's why it's so slow.
