Trying to install the EU version ....an error returned with the message : "Verification failed" and the NTV goes back to the previous firmware.

We have been promised one final firmware update for the Netgear NTV550. I presume that this is it. It is probably being released first in the beta section to be see if there are any major bugs. I did download it and it has worked fine in my setup so far. I did try the youtube video feed and it seems to work...

Yes, Youtube seems to work, but dlna still have problems with flac files (standard 16/44 and hi-res). I was trying to play few songs using Twonky7 for NAS (Netgear DuoNAS) and ReadyNASDlna and player refuses to play files (directly) or stop playing after 2 sec (play to with android BubbleUpnp).
Does anyone have solution for this?

I loaded the NA version on one of my NTV550's and it seems to work OK so far.

Sounds like a pretty feeble update considering we had to wait 10 months for it! No reference to the periodic lock-ups, etc.

I can't see any subtitles with .avi files with this new firmware. Does anyone try ?

I' getting the same messge! Did you manage to update?

No problem here updating with the eu version...
Maybe try another USB stick.
