Hi all,
I don't know too much about this sort of thing. I tried looking at previous threads to see if anything can help my problem. I think what is happening is the wireless keeps dropping, that is the best way I can describe it. I have a comcast cable modem and this netgear router. On the top of the router is blue and when it is connected it blinks. When it drops, it does not blink. I unplug everything and turn my computer off and unplug from the wall. I then plug the wall back in, turn the modem on and wait for 2 minutes as that is what I've been reading. Then I plug the router wire back in, wait another 2 or so minutes, then turn my computer back on. I just did this, and as soon as my computer turned on, it dropped again and had to plug the cord from the router to my computer to get on the internet. I hope this all makes sense. So am I having issues with the router, the modem, or one of the cords? I don't know what else to try and like I said, I have only basic knowledge so I'll need this explained in a way I can understand. Thanks! Megan |

if any pc wired the router has not issues than likely the issues is internal wireless is failing. Unless there is changes in surrounding which if you think channel interference issues.
