Default WNR2000, Firmware upgrade

My WNR2000 continuously cuts out and has to be powered down/up to connect
wirelessly for a short period. I read that a firmware upgrade may solve the problem but states not to upgrade thru wireless connection. Router has 4 ports but I can't get it to hook up wired. How do I upgrade to see if this is the fix?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

WRN2000 is NOT wired router. It is wireless N router
