Default Headset for SPH200D (DECT?)

I was thinking of purchasing a headset for my SPH200D kit and the thought occurs that a DECT headset would be cool.

Has anyone tried this?

Can anyone recommend a headset (wired or wireless) that works with the SPH150D?

Thank you.

I'm using the same headset that I have for my old Motorola mobile phone (2.5mm) and it seems to work fine. You may want to try that.

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately I bought a 'generic' (not that expensive) Nokia 2.5mm 4-part headset and it didn't work.

It would be really great if Netgear or some kind forum members could list the ones they've tried here. Someone mentioned that they used their Samsung A900 (I think it was) but being in the UK I could not source one.

So, suggestions by phone model number, please?

I found this (scroll down for the handsfree) amongst a shedload of other finds by searching Google (UK, obviously) with "Samsung A900 accessory".

Thank you Cornflake, I appreciate the link.

Unfortunately my phishing radar activated when going through the checkout process (user's details are not encrypted) and I chickened out from an actual purchase -- despite the fact that £4 ($8) delivered was an appealing deal! I have concerns about giving them my credit card details.

I'll keep looking.

Yes indeed - run, do not walk, in the opposite direction...
Astonishing how some shops fail to understand even the most basic user protection!

Can you please tell me if your motorola mobile phone headset is 4 pole? Does it have 2 or 3 blacks rings around the metal male connector?

Can you tell use what model you are using. I've tried different headsets with my 200W Netgear wi-fi phone and I can't get it to work.

I'm updating this old thread because, by chance I found my own solution!

Having tried a couple of headset adapters and indeed a couple of Nokia headsets, I gave up on the idea of using a headset with my SPH200D / 150D.

I was having a clearout this morning, sorting out some bits from my old, original Xbox to pass onto a friend who still uses his. I noticed that the Xbox Live headset has a 2.5mm jack plug on it and thought it was worth trying on the Skype phone.

It worked. Perfectly!
