Angry Windows 8 WNA 1100 HELP !!!!!!!!

I have win 8 and have been given a WNA1100 by the numbskull who built an 1100 computer for me without a wireless card. (his excuse - I didn't ask for one !!!!! Well, I didn't ASK for a casing around the innards, either. Foozling Idiot))

So I've installed from the cd that came with the product.

THEN discovered that my only result was a frozen screen and the Blue Screen of Death.

I've downloaded and extracted the ZIP File from Netgear support that's supposed to fix it.

I've now got two directories x64 and x86 with three files in each.

AND NO CLUE as to what I'm supposed to do with them (in the nicest POSSIBLE way, of course)

Anyone want to give me a heads-up ?

BEFORE I GO TOTALLY FOOZLING POSTAL !!!!!!!

Computer Professionals, be foozled.

Regards

Merlin

X64- 64bit Operating system
x86- 42bit Operating system

Driver is *.INF file and once hardware is detected, Operating system will automatically see the fit needs and use it...

Thanx very much for the reply.

Is it at all possible that you could tell me that in a "Tab A goes into Slot B" sort of format.

Your reply, I'm afraid, could be well translated as "Drop the goooglyhinch in the afterfeeder and corsetort the affluing doblymunches" as far as I am concerned.

And little things, like should the extracted files be in any way adjacent to the Program directory (which they for some reason aren't).

And any other things that I need to do but didn't ask about that I don't know I need to know because I don't know them.

Thanx

Ludd

It's a driver so you just need to updated the driver from device manager

http://pcsupport.about.com/od/window...-windows-8.htm

Go to wireless device and update the driver

Could the netgear site be telling it that the driver is current ?

'cos all i'm getting is "this is the latest driver for your device.
Driver is installed correctly"
