Default Can I turn off the wireless function of my router

New kid here.
I have 2 questions. I have a Net Gear RangeMax WPN 824 v2 router.
Is there a way to turn off the wireless section of the network without affecting the wired workstations conected to this router?
Any help is appreciated.

Second question.
I have a Hawking model HFSST-P 5 port ethernet switch.
Can I expand the capacity of the wired portion of my Net Gear router by connecting this switch to my router and plugging in more workstations?

Thank you for any information on either topics.

The option to turn wireless radio on or off is in the router Advanced Wireless Settings page. This will not affect wireless connections. You can plug a switch into a LAN port of the router, and you donít even need a crossover cable, the ports auto-sense the connection type.
